photoshop or corel paint shop 12 question

I want to ask a minor question as a begginer in photoshop: which tool can be used to remove unwanted item in the picture? For example, there is an ugly tree in my picture, I want to remove it but maintain the background naturally... I tried for a long time but haven't discovery it yet.

    Thank you

Try Rubber Stamp Tool in Photoshop, it might take some time consuming manual work depending upon the complexity.
